Today in Dennie's session we looked at the concept of scenography and its different meanings.
Here are a few of my favourites;

"To make- and break- the performance space". Achim Freyer- France
"The world of imagination, the place where I can travel through the future and past and bring my own world to the stage". Georgi Alexi- Meskhishvili, USA

We then took the underground tube map and in groups created a short piece of choreography using the idea of scenography, looking at space, speed, pathways both with the body and directions to symbolise the different tube lines and central, transverse and peripheral space. this was intereting as even though myself and my group were working together over zoom we were still able to incorporate these themes effectively and just had to adapt with contact and our own space.
This has helped me reflect on my own choreography and how I can incorporate the idea of scenography in my work and my choreographic tasks.
